consent of the user seems to me to be a request from the GDPR. Simply displaying information is not enough (theoretically at least) not really enough. Perhaps it is indeed appropriate to add a check box, even if mandatory?

Bastien URANGA: Consent is one of the bases for data processing according to the GDPR but not the only one.
When a person registers online via a form in Enoria, most of the time it is in the legitimate interest of the parish (or diocese) in order to be able to properly process their request to register for a group or an activity.
If the legal basis for data processing is legitimate interest, in this case consent is not a prerequisite...
Especially since the person enters the data himself in the form, it is good that he agrees to transmit them and if he refuses to transmit them the parish (or the diocese) will not be able to process the registration request.
But that's more a question to be seen internally depending on the confidentiality policy decreed by the diocese... 
The checkbox alone would not be very useful... otherwise you would have to put a complete sentence: I agree that my entered data be used as part of my request (but in this case, since consent is collected explicitly only for registration, you will not have the right to reuse the person's data to, for example, invite them to another parish event... unless you ask them the question first...)

Élodie Massa: The legitimacy of processing is one of the principles of the GDPR, as is legality, relevance, minimization, etc. 
The fact that a treatment is legitimate is therefore rather a prerequisite for harvesting and treatment.
Moreover, the legitimate interest of the processing may be one of the legal bases (be careful, moreover, that this does not become a catch-all legal basis), but this does not exempt from obtaining consent, regardless of the means of obtaining it (check box or other)... and luckily :-)

Hello Michèle GUILMONT: On the form we can enter this information when we, the user, create or modify the person.

Élodie Massa: Yes (PJ1). But nothing is reported in the fields on the 3rd page of the person (PJ2). They are always empty. In addition, the checkbox that removes the “registration confirmation” button makes it possible to make the person filling out the form aware of the GDPR. We're doing everything too fast today. Élodie Massa: Good morning! But what do you do when parents register a child? (I'm still on my cat forms ^^).

In the case of a new child registered online, with the parents who fill in the household information, once these people have been validated, I do have the information 'registration to the caté group' in the child's GDPR, but I have nothing for the parents (or the brothers and sisters for that matter...). Perhaps an 'online registration (date) 'info would be appropriate?
