An Enoria API: a real need for parishes!
The provision of an official and documented API would make Enoria not only a tool for parish management, but also the heart of a true digital ecosystem at the service of the pastoral mission. Mainly, this would allow a connection with parish sites and applications: synchronize certain information, events, registrations or reservations, without multiplying entries. For example, this would allow the connection with O'Clocher or our home app: Ma Paroisse ND de l'Herbasse. A few other concrete examples of use: Pastoral automations: facilitate the follow-up of families after a baptism, marriage or funeral, offer reminders and maintain the link with the people met by the parish. Artificial intelligence: make it possible to develop pastoral and administrative assistants capable of querying authorized Enoria data, helping teams prepare communications or automating certain tasks. Customized tools: develop functionalities adapted to the particular needs of parishes, without systematically waiting for the software to evolve. A secure REST API, with granular access rights, clear documentation, and ideally webhooks to react to events, would open up considerable possibilities. Of course, all this should be done in strict compliance with the GDPR, authorizations and the confidentiality of pastoral data. The challenge is not to replace Enoria, but on the contrary to enhance this tool by allowing it to communicate with other digital services in parishes. This would be a major advance, especially with the emergence of AI and automation tools that are available today to small structures.
