Addition of a “Birth name” field for a man
Cédric van WAESBERGHE
The case is not very common, but it does exist: some men change their name after marriage and adopt the name of their spouse. Currently, Enoria does not allow this situation to be managed.
We could add a “Birth name” field that could be hidden by default (as is the place of birth or other first names for example).

I was also confronted with the usual name (her mom's name) different from the birth name for an unmarried woman, due to a proper name that was difficult to bear from her dad...

[Person/Add-Modification] Add a birth name in addition to the usual name for men as well
Marie-Claude WOSTYN
When entering a person, whether it is a girl or a woman, you can fill in a name that is the usual name and the maiden name.
It would be useful for boys and men as well.
We have the case of a young person who has a birth name and following the divorce of his parents has a different usage name and this is not manageable in the person's file.
This can also be true for a man who would take a common name identical to that of his wife but different from his own.
Regards.

I actually have the case in my parish!

Marie-Claude WOSTYN I understand your problem but quite frankly in a parish base it seems to me that we can be content with the usual name.

P. Raphaël Cournault: The annoyance of the common name is for editing official documents (marriage file, confirmation notification, etc.). Hence the usefulness of having both. In some parishes it is extremely rare, but where there are a lot of Africans (who often have common names alongside the official name), it is probably very useful.

I would rather put an optional 'common name' field, the main fields being (perhaps to be specified as) the official names...?
